Samantha's First Birthday Part 1: The BIG Day!!!

Busy Bees

We've been busy getting the house ready to move in. We've been painting like crazy & have ordered our flooring.

I gave Samantha a clean paintbrush & she had so much fun 'helping' Nana & myself paint.

She painted everything!

Hello Chris!!

Now that Uncle Chris has moved to Arkansas; Samantha, Nana & myself drove down to help him unpack & set up house. We had the added treat of dinner with my cousin & his family!

We've moved!!!!
Well- we haven't moved yet, but are homeowners! The house is ours & now we are fixing it up to our liking. It's small but felt like home the moment we first walked in. We just knew- this was our home. It's on 5 acres, there's flower beds scattered around the home, a fenced in acre near the house for family critters, a nice trex deck out back... oh & Lance's heart was stolen when he saw the suped up workshop that has more square footage than the house!
I'm working on addressing the cards to everyone with our new address, I'm also working on picking out paint colors & carpet & ... Oh the joys!!!
I promise to post photos of our trip to Arkansas soon. Until then- email if you need an address.

1 step, 2 step ....

Samantha is walking!!

I've tried uploading a short video of Sami walking but after an hour of attempts, I'm done. I might try again another day. Take my word for it- she's a walker. It's so cute- she holds both of her arms up above her head & goes. So darn adorable!!

Sami rediscovered her swing, so out of curiosity I strapped her in & she was absolutely content playing & listening to the music. Thing was, I didn't turn on the swing- she figured out how to toss her body back & forth & make it swing- I've never seen it go so far from side to side.
